PANJIM: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), following a note of inquiry by former ACB SP Bosco George, has sought clearance from the Chief Secretary to register an FIR against former Deputy Inspector General of Police Vimal Anand Gupta in the alleged bribery case.
The inquiry was conducted over allegations that Gupta demanded a bribe from a lady PSI to clear a departmental enquiry against her. Last week, the Goa Lokayukta had asked for a status report on the corruption charges against Gupta before commencing the inquiry.
