Sign-boards depicting places of historical importance and other important offices as well as the name of the important roads and streets play an vital role in any city. These sign-boards give the exact locations of the offices to the visitors to the city. However most of the sign-boards in the city of Vasco are in a dilapidated condition. The one seen in the photo located near the historic Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) building is seen lying by the road-side. These dilapidated sign-boards, besides being of no use, also give the city an ugly look. The authorities concerned need to replace these sign-boards, which are in a pathetic condition, with new ones.
