MARGAO: The Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat at their special gram sabha held on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day on Thursday, passed a unanimous resolution expressing their heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering support to the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, in facilitating the Exposition of the Sacred Relics of Saint Francis Xavier. The panchayat acknowledged the government’s contributions in ensuring the event was both meaningful and respectful to the sentiments of the people.
The letter, signed by Sarpanch Franky Viegas on behalf of the Panchayat, appreciated the unwavering support extended by the Prime Minister to Chief Minister Sawant in organizing the Exposition. Viegas wrote, “Your support has enriched our spiritual lives and fostered greater unity and harmony among the people of Goa,” highlighting the impact of the event on the local community.
The Panchayat’s communication also commended the resources and efforts contributed by the Government of Goa to make the event a success. The Sarpanch lauded the guidance and encouragement of the Prime Minister, which, he said, ensured the Exposition was conducted with reverence, organization, and dignity, showcasing Goa’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
The resolution, passed unanimously during the Gram Sabha, emphasized the importance of the Exposition as a sacred and memorable occasion that served as a beacon of faith for the local community. It also underscored how the event strengthened the bonds of unity and reinforced the community’s shared history.
In their letter, the Panchayat conveyed their deep appreciation to the Prime Minister, acknowledging his role in making the Exposition an inspiring and spiritually uplifting experience for the people of Goa.
