VASCO: Police Sub-Inspector Rushal Pinge attached to Mormugao police station was booked on Wednesday after a young female filed a complaint alleging rape, Mormugao Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Raut Desai said.

“The woman alleged that she was raped by Rushal on the pretext of marriage for which a case has been registered at Verna police station on Tuesday”, he said.
Pinge has been booked under sections 376 and 420 of IPC.
The deputy superintendent said Verna police are investigating the matter.
Superintendent of Police South Goa, Pankaj Kumar Singh confirmed the news and informed that no arrest has been made.
