MARGAO: With Ganesh Chaturthi round the corner, the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd in coordination with Central Railway have announced Ganpati Special Trains on the route of Lokmanya Tilak to Mangalore and back during the festival.
The Lokmanya Tilak (T) AC Weekly Special’s schedule will be as follows.

Train no. 01173 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Mangaluru Jn. AC Weekly Special will leave from Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 20: 50 hrs on 24 August, 31 August and 7 September (Wednesday) and reach Mangaluru Jn at 17:05 hrs the next day.
Train no. 01174 Mangaluru Jn- Lokmanya Tilak (T) AC Weekly Special will leave from Mangaluru Jn at 20:15 hrs on 25 August, 1 September and 8 September (Thursday) and reach Lokmanya station at 17:30 hrs the next day.
The train will compose of total 22 LHB Coaches (First AC -01 Coach, Two Tier AC- 3 Coaches and Three Tier -15 Coaches including generator cars).

Meanwhile, it has been decided to augment one extra sleeper coach in the Hapa Madgaon Jn Express. The Train no. 22908 on 24 August and Train no. 22907 on August 26
