NEW DELHI, FEB 19
A two-member team of CBI is traveling to London early next month to record a statement of Fiona Mackeown on the sensational murder of her teenage daughter Scarlett Keeling in Goa to wind up its investigations and file the case in the court.
Sources here said she has been already informed to be available in London on March 3 for recording her statement. The CBI team will also record the statement of another UK citizen, Michael Mannion, who reportedly saw Scarlett being abused.
The CBI officials, probing the case that hit the headlines last year, say they now have a fair idea of the perpetrators of the crime who will be arrested before taking them to the court. Scarlett was allegedly gang-raped in Goa and later her body was recovered from the Anjuna beach on February 18.
