MARGAO: Damodar Higher Secondary School of Gudi – Paroda defeated St Andrew Higher Secondary School of Vasco 2-0 to emerge champions in South District inter-higher secondary tug of war tournament, organized by Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, at SAG practice ground, Fatorda, here, recently.
Damodar HSS will now meet North Goa champions in the state final.
The team was coached by Physical Education teacher Jaikrishna N Desai and Vivekanand Tambi.
The players who excelled were Amrit Bage, Rasur Vishnu, Sheikh Hussain, Carvalho Chesto, Singh Jamvant, Fernandes Jovi, Vaz Ashvil, Saishutar D Vasta, Sweeten Da Costa and Gaurav Naik.
