The campaign that will commence from Baga will feature a unique waste bar, art installations and beach cleaning drives.
Drishti Marine CEO Ravi Shankar said that the first edition of the drive comprised of over 150 days with an intention to create awareness on beach clean-up and educate people on the importance of waste segregation.
“We made a significantly positive impact and hence decided to run the campaign this season as well. Starting this month, the campaign will feature beach clean-ups and spread awareness in an engaging manner,” he said.
Project Manager Noreen Van Holstein who conceptualised the campaign and partnered with Drishti Marine on #TeraMeraBeach said they wish to spread the awareness that trash has value if collected and segregated properly.
“We are also trying to help beach shacks to reduce the use of disposable plastic such as straws and make the transition to being a more sustainable operation,” she said.
