MARGAO: The Cuncolim Municipal Council will on Friday witness a tug of war over the seats of chairperson and vice chairperson, when the no confidence motions against them are taken up for discussion.
The voting on the no-confidence motion against Chairperson Polita Carneiro and Vice Chairperson Shashank V Desai will be conducted through a secret ballot.
The fact that there is muscle flexing between the Congress and BJP power centers at Cuncolim is quite well known.
Now, the no confidence motion will be a final seal on who takes the power at the CMC.
The motion against the Desai will be taken first in the morning and the one against Carneiro will be taken up in the afternoon session.
