Bicholim sees mix response

BICHOLIM: On the second day, the lockdown in Bicholim received a mix response with people being seen coming outside especially during evening.

In the morning, there was a great rush for buying milk packets. People were also seen at grocery stores. Even as some of them had opened the stores, the police urged them to close. The local vegetable vendors had come to sell their local produce in the market but were compelled to leave the market by the police.

In the evening, the people were seen openly flaunting the regulations. There were many kids who were seen playing on the open ground at Vathadev. Two shops in the area were also opened in the evening for some time. The people were also seen going for evening walk and some of them were also seen in groups of more than five.

The market and the KTC bus stand wore deserted look. Hospitals, petrol pumps and pharmacies were kept open while all the other shops remained closed.
