PONDA: Stating that several potholes on Borim Bridge pose risk to motorists, locals have demanded that Borim Bridge road be concretised to prevent accidents in future.

They further claimed that road has developed potholes as the hotmix carpet got washed away.
It is pertinent to note that thousands of commuters travel daily along the Borim Bridge to proceed to Margao, Karwar, Mangalore, Bangalore and Belgaum.
The daily commuters have complained of facing hardship while travelling from Ponda to Margao. Riders claimed that there is every possibility of meeting with an accident while negotiating the potholes.
It may be recalled that a few years ago a woman pillion riding on bike fell and died when rider tried to negotiate the potholes.
