MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao on Friday recorded the statement of the minor girl who was allegedly raped in a hotel room in Colva. PSI Karishma Prabhugaonker of the Women’s Police Cell, Margao, produced the girl before the JMFC court and her statement was recorded as per law. The police said that the medical examination of the victim girl, a student of Class 9, was also complete.
Sticken Fernandes, a resident of Navelim, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping the girl.
