MARGAO: Noisy scenes were witnessed at Agassaim gramsabha today when members opposed door-to-door garbage collection as proper site was not identified for dumping.
Various queries followed with regards to whom the contract was given, how the garbage was handled on regular basis, funds received from the government for garbage treatment and others.
One of the members Brando Gonsalves suggested that allocation of place for dumping of garbage was necessary before carrying out the exercise of garbage collection.
