CANACONA: In a heart-breaking incident, two locals from
Gulem, Canacona lost their lives while trying to recover a carcass of a turtle
from a well.
The drowning incident occurred at around 7 pm on Friday. The
deceased have been identified as Nami Gaonkar from Gulem and Barkelo Gaonkar
from Gokude, Bashem.

Canacona firefighters pulled out the dead bodies from the
well and were sent to South Goa District Hospital at Margao for autopsy after
Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas conducted the panchanama. Further investigations
are on.
