MAPUSA: Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said on Thursday that he plans to build a library and an educational institute in Parra in memory of former chief minster late Manohar Parrikar.
Addressing the media, Lobo said that he is planning to build a huge library and an educational institute in memory of Parrikar in Parra with his statue in front of the building.
“As I had told, the statue of Parrikar will be built in Parra. We have already identified land for this project and are waiting for green signal from the owner. The land is located on the roadside in Parra,” he said
“There is no use of statues until there is something along with it which is worth keeping memory of Parrikar alive which will be useful for children’s and future generations. Parrikar had a thought that future generation should be benefited. Also the statues should come up at the right place and with right meaning,” he said.
