A proud feeling indeed, to see a perfect picture with our very own Manohar ‘Bhau’, Union Defence Minister sitting with such important personalities as POTUS and PM of India at the Republic Day parade, published on Herald of 27 January 2015.
Reference to the caption of the picture, as well as on many past occasions on newspapers, I feel that the term “Bhai“ used for the Defence Minister is not in good taste as it has cheap, derogatory connotations, used by criminal elements in the underworld, mainly in places like Bombay and in cheap Bollywood action movies.
Secondly, the informal attire always used by the ex-chief of Goa denotes his simplicity and humility whereby he has given importance to performance over appearance.
I wish Manohar (amcho Goencho) Bhau all the very best and hope to see him in future moving forward another seat. You have made us Goans proud dear ‘Bhau’.
