MAPUSA: Sporting Clube de Goa crushed Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim 10-0 in a GFA U-16 football league match at Don Bosco ground, Panjim, Wednesday. The score was 6-0 at half time.
Jonathan Cardozo opened the floodgates for Sporting in the second minute with his strike followed by a blistering hat-trick by Akeraj Martins in 10th, 14th and 22nd minutes.
Sporting outsmarted their rivals in every department with Dion Fernandes slotting home in the 30th minute while Akeraj netted his fourth before the lemon break.
After the restart, the Flaming Oranje continued their good-showing as Akeraj scored in the 43rd minute.
Don Bosco custodian blocked a powerful long ranger by Jonathan in the 60th minute.
Elmer Sequeira added further damage with a hat-trick in 70th, 72nd, 80th minutes.
Sporting are unbeaten in the group stage topping the table with 12 points.
