VASCO: The Dabolim-Zuarinagar stretch of the highway claimed yet another life within three days, when a 27-yr-old motorcycle rider from Maharashtra, but residing at Birla-Zuarinagar, died while the pillion rider was injured in a road mishap at Dabolim.
According to Vasco police, the incident took place as Promod Kamble and a friend were proceeding towards Vasco on a motorcycle.
On reaching near the Naval Armament Depot at Dabolim Kamble lost control of the motorcycle and the vehicle hit the road divider.
Police said Kamble banged his head on the road divider and received serious head injuries and died on the spot, while the pillion rider sustained injuries.
Police sent the body for an autopsy at the Hospicio hospital in Margao and is investigating the case.
Earlier on Tuesday, Aliston De Mello died in a road mishap near BITS Pilani at Sancoale.
