Morjim residents were shaken by news of a brazen theft at the Anandi Anant Mini Super Market, with the store owner estimating losses of up to 1.5 lakh in stolen goods. Local law enforcement quickly responded to the incident, registering a formal complaint and initiating a thorough investigation.

Among the stolen items reported by the owner were a CCTV machine, a quantity of liquor bottles, and approximately 20 thousand rupees in cash. The absence of surveillance footage due to the stolen CCTV unit posed a significant challenge in identifying the culprits.
