He was speaking at a Poriem Congress workers meeting at the Valpoi municipality hall on Saturday. More than 700 party workers were present.
Rane stated that that government had failed to fulfill people’s expectations and had taken u-turns on various issues. He also slammed the government for neglecting Sattari for over three years.
“Consumers are facing more problems in regards to the electricity bill, which is beyond the limit for them. Water charges are also a headache for the common man in Sattari, and rural people are unsatisfied with the 108 service,” said Rane.
The workers also passed three resolutions: the existing government should reduce the electricity and water rates, two fully-equipped 108 ambulances for Valpoi and Honda should be provided immediately, and medicine should be provided to the Valpoi community centre and other rural dispensaries.
A Congress office near the old Navodaya School will open on July 10 in the presence of Opposition Leader Pratapsing Rane and GPCC President Luizinho Faleiro. A worker’s convention will also be held on that day.
