PANJIM: The government has appointed two special committees headed by the respective district additional collectors to determine land value for areas above Rs 1 lakh, an official notification by the revenue department said. The committee will decide on land on any zone. The committee is to hold a meeting at least once a month.
“The copy of the report shall be submitted to State Registrar and Inspector General of Registration. State Registrar shall further endorse his recommendation if contrary to the recommendations of the Special Committee within a week’s time on receipt of the report copy and submit the report to Revenue Department for approval of the Government,” says the notification by Ashutosh Apte, Under Secretary (Revenue-I).
