Both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowd on their toes. As the match progressed, United Club of Utorda troubled the rival defence with well orchestrated raids but Ambelim Sports Club goalkeeper Benny Silva was rock solid under the bar as he made effected couple of saves to keep the slate clean.
Midway, Ambelim Sports Club had also couple of scoring opportunities but their forwards misfired from close range.
Post resumption, Ambelim Sports Club showed better application and their forwards put tremendous pressure on the rival defence but Utorda defenders frustrated their attacks.
The all-important goal came late in the second half when Jonathon Cardozo beat the rival goalkeeper with snap shot.
Stung by setback, United Club of Utorda went all out in search of an equalizer but the rival goalkeeper was equal to the task to block couple of sorties.
