PANJIM: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and Member of Parliament Digvijay Singh on Saturday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for tagging regional parties in Goa as pickpockets of democracy.
Addressing the media, Digvijay Singh said “Modi’s speech was complete rhetoric and political, where he tagged regional parties as pickpockets. He is the prime minister of the country and he should not use such language. I strongly condemn this act”
“All the regional party’s in Goa or be it India have full right within the constitutional framework to ask for votes. Who is Modi to call these regional outfits as pickpockets of democracy?” he asked.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 30 minute speech completely failed to bring out major issues affecting Goa.
