CHANDRAWADDO-FATORDA: Tiswadi Veterans defeated Davorlim Veterans 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Fatorda Veterans football tournament at DBO ground, Murida-Fatorda, on Friday.

Davorlim midfielder Climax Lawrence took a long range shot which failed to pop into the Tiswadi net. Davorlim keeper Avertano Furtado did a commendable job under the bar on several occasions.

In the fourth minute, Davorlim through Seby Faleiro should have netted but Tiswadi keeper Daniel Pereira saved Seby’s shot brilliantly. At the other end, Tiswadi’s Prashant Naik took a long range shot but Avertano Furtado palmed away to safety.

Davorlim striker Denis Cabral netted the opening goal of the match in the 24th minute off Caetano Pereira’s connect.
