MAPUSA: Anjuna Police on Friday arrested one Richard Francis De Souza (32), resident of Arpora, for allegedly damaging a vehicle driven by the tourists.
According to the police, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening wherein three female tourists from Mumbai had come down to Goa from for a trip in their Toyota Land Cruiser car and due to GPS failure they landed up inside one compound at Mainath Bhati, Arpora with their vehicle. After the vehicle entered into the compound, the alleged accused came with wooden danda and damaged the front windshield and thereafter he damaged the rear windshield, spoiler of the car with the metal rod while causing loss worth Rs 5.5 lakh. The accused has been arrested under Section 342, 336, 504, 427 and 506 (II) IPC.
