Navelim residents seek divine intervention

Even as PWD Minister Churchill Alemao warned of Government action against anyone trying to obstruct rehabilitation of displaced kiosk owners on the SUDA land, people of Navelim gathered in the fields, opposite the Margao Railway Station to pray the Rosary and consecrate themselves and their fields to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The gathering of the motley group made a fervent appeal to the Mother of God to protect their fertile fields, land and houses from forcible acquisition by the government.
