PANJIM: Former chief minister Digambar Kamat, said that a comprehensive development plan was mandatory and this should be prepared either by PDAs or the government should “get some consultants”, arguing that if this was done a lot of problems would be solved.
Kamat wanted the Government to take some steps to frame the TCP Act, while speaking on the TCP demands Monday.
Stating that uniform regulations needed to be made and that Government should take initiative to do so, to correct the anomalies, he stressed the need to formulate guidelines for TCP flying squads.
Throwing his weight behind the housing industry, he said that it was going through a very bad phase due to increase in Stamp duty, taxation such as infrastructure tax etc.
