TIVIM: Tivim legislator Kiran Kandolkar has assured that he would stand by each and every worker from his constituency, who faces the possibility of being retrenched from service by a mining company at Sirsaim.
It may be recalled that the issue had figured at the Sirsaim gram sabha on Sunday where the workers working for a mining firm had expressed fears of possible retrenchment. Sarpanch Gokuldas Khanolkar had assured the workers that the panchayat would stand by them.
A group of labourers led by their leader Pradip Shirodkar called MLA Kandolkar on Friday and apprised him about the issue. After giving a patient hearing to their grievances, Kandolkar stressed that he would not allow any injustice to be done to any person from his constituency. He also assured the workers that whatever required would be done to prevent any injustice to them.
The workers also pointed out that for last many years they have been working for the company and still they are being denied justice. A memorandum was also presented to Kandolkar.
