VASCO: A Headland Sada resident was arrested by the Mormugao police on Sunday on charges of wrongful restraint and threat.
Police said that Tukaram Kanoji (44) arrested on Sunday for allegedly restraining the complainant Baburao Shetgaonkar and threatening to kill him.
According to the complaint of Shetgaonkar, the complainant had visited that Murgaoncha Raja Mandao to play carom in the evening on Saturday. However, Kanoji reportedly barred him from entering the premises and further allegedly threatened to kill the complainant if he tried to enter the mandap.
Following this, Shetgaonkar on Sunday lodged a complaint against the Tukaram Kanoji at the Mormugao police station.
Taking the cognisance of the complaint, police registered an offence against Kanoji under Sections 506(ii) and 341 of IPC.
