Narrow win for UC Nerul

Nerul Sports Club defeated Sangolda Lightning 2-1 to move into the semi-finals of Salgaocar Trophy inter-village football tournament at Sporting ground, Saligao on Tuesday. There was no score at half time.
Changing over, Nerul shot into lead through Abhijeet Govekar. Abhijeet doubled the lead for Nerul to complete his brace. In the dying minutes, Sangolda pulled one back through Govind Balekar off an Agnelo Quadros pass.
