Luizinho wrote that the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the Goan economy and has thus adversely affected the livelihoods of Goans. “In these tough times when the economy of the State is reeling under difficult situations and circumstances, I would humbly urge you to ensure sustenance and support to the Goan economy by ensuring necessary support to the small and medium business enterprises and industries, farmers, agriculturist daily wage earners, self employed people like the taxi owners, motorcycle pilots, private bus owners, shack owners and such other sections of Goans whose livelihoods have been badly affected economically due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic” Luizinho said

“The government must also consider granting them some sustenance allowance to the Goan bread earners, who have lost their employment, via a statutory fee as applicable to the varied sections of enterprise and activity so as to enable our fellow Goans to tide over these difficult times” the former Chief Minister added.

He further requested that the government takes urgent steps to solve these problems.
