PANJIM: The State Government on Tuesday promoted 16 Goa Civil Service officers to the junior scale post with immediate effect. In an order issued by Under Secretary (Personnel-I), the officers will be on probation for a period of two years.
The 16 officers include Smita Hede, Shashikant Bhamaikar (SC), Shaila Bhonsle (SC), Bevinda Monteiro Dias, Georgina Saldanha, Shivanee Borkar (SC), PD Halankar (SC), Gurudas Desai, Roshell Fernandes, Snehal Prabhu, Nathine Araujo, Trupti Manerkar, Uday Prabhu Desai, Nayan Moroscar, Navnath Naik and Deepti Kankonkar.
Also, five junior scale officers – AS Mahatme, Ramesh Naik, Darshani Desai, Yeshwant Parab and Raju Dessai – have been promoted on officiating basis, against the vacancies of the officers whose recommendations are kept in sealed cover until further orders.
On promotion, the officers shall continue to hold the post presently held by them until further orders.
