CUNCOLIM: Assolna gram sabha members demanded strict action against the illegal gaddas operating at the village market.
Members brought to the notice of the panchayat that licences were issued only for moveable gaddas, but some have been conducting business at fixed places. Claiming this as illegal, the gram sabha members demanded removal of such gaddas.
Some members brought to the notice of the gram sabha that some gadda owners have transferred their licence to third parties without the consent of the panchayat, and demanded that such gaddas too be removed from the market.
Gram sabha took cognizance of misuse of garden near the church by some miscreants and directed the panchayat requested the police to patrol the place.
Some members raised the issue of lack of cleanliness in the fish market and asked the panchayat to keep it clean. The villagers also asked the panchayat to clean up the drains at Assolna market.
