AGASSAIM: Don Bosco Oratory Sports and Cultural Youth Club, Panjim register a thrilling 3-2 win over Agassaim Youth Club in the Goa Football Association Third Division League, at Agassaim ground, on Saturday.
Don Bosco took the lead in the 19th minute when Keegan, played a defence splitting pass to Saad on the flank and the latter played a cut back pass to Nikhil Jadhav who scored with a sublime finish from outside the box.
Don Bosco dominated the first session and deservingly doubled the account when Nikhil’s corner took Leander’s deflection but the ball fell to Johnson, who headed it in to make it 2-0.
In the second half nothing changed, as DBO continued their dominance and soon inflated their tally when a good build up play saw DBO attack from the flank. Flyson then cut back a pass to Keegan who unselfishly set up Elijah on the right, and the last man scored to make it 3-0.
In the final quarter of the game, Agassaim managed to pull back through Anthony Afonso, who scored from a distance after DBO defender’s of a Agassaim’s free-kick clearance went straight to him. Agassaim scored their second from a direct free-kick Anthony Afonso, who completed his brace.
