MARGAO: Additional Sessions Judge I Edgar Fernandes posted for final arguments on April 3, the case filed against Dr Vijayraj Desai for murder of his wife Archana after dismissing both the application pending for his orders.
The judge rejected the bail application moved by Dr Vijayraj. Incidentally, this is the fourth bail application that was moved by the accused. Dr Vijayraj had even moved the Principal Sessions Judge for transfer of his case, which application was however rejected.
Judge Edgar also rejected the application moved by the prosecution for amendment of the charge-sheet wherein the prosecution wanted to change the place of murder from Sawantwadi in Maharashtra to Goa. Special Public Prosecutor P P V Srivastav will commence the arguments on April 3.
