A team led by Ponda PSI Suraj Gawas opened the premises along with the management of Bardez Bazaar and some employees. The Bardez Bazaar management and staff were shocked to find the goods dumped in a haphazard manner.
Speaking to reporters, Bardez Bazaar Chairman Darma Chodankar informed that the goods were now in the possession of Ponda police.
“Regarding the heavy losses, we will approach the court to seek the recovery of our losses which will run into several lakhs of rupees,” said Chodankar.
“The shop owner committed theft of our goods and our first demand is to have him arrested immediately,” said Chodankar.
