In their previous leg encounter played at Sanquelim ground, it was Sesa who had collected full points through a 2-1 win over Goa Police SC.
Goa Police SC now have 17 points in the league while Sesa FA remain on 17 points.
Sesa FA started off brightly and piled on the pressure in the initial minutes of the match, where in the 10th minute Latesh Mandrekar, on getting hold off a loose ball darted into the rival citadel but failed to keep his shot within the woodwork.
Minutes later, Veegan Ferrao ran down the left flank and flashed the ball across the Goa Police SC goal area to Aaron D’Silva, whose strong header missed the target narrowly.
On resumption of play, Goa Police SC were all over the Sesa FA goal area and after several missed attempts took the lead in the 70th minute when Milind Shinde set up Sachin Chopdekar inside the Sesa FA danger zone whose rasping strike beat the keeper hands down.
Hardly had the cheers died down Goa Police SC further inflated the margin to 2-0 when Milind Shinde positioned himself perfectly to fire home the ball from close range.
