Body with head detached found on track at Canacona

CANACONA: The body of a male person with his head detached at the neck was found on the railway tracks near Canacona Railway station on Wednesday. 
It is suspected that the victim has committed suicide. The Railway Police later identified the victim as John Fernandes, 58, a resident of Candolim in North Goa.
Sources said that the victim was temporarily staying at his relatives place at Khavat in Poiguinim.
After observing the pattern of injuries and the position of the body and the separated head on the other side of the metal track, it is suspected that he must have kept his neck across the track and must have come directly under the wheels of a moving train.
Since the incident happened on the rail tracks, the Railway police have registered a case of unnatural death in this regard and after conducting panchanama, the body was shifted to Hospicio Hospital for preservation and post mortem.
