Cuncolim police have stated that the accused had raped the minor near her residence, and that he used to peep inside the bathroom while she and her younger sister were taking a bath, and record the same with a digital camera.
The accused allegedly also recorded the victim taking a bath by hiding a camera phone in the bathroom and saved the recording on his laptop. He also used to tie her to the window grills with a dog chain and sexually assault her. Further, he assaulted and threatened to kill her.
if she opposed his acts or disclosed the same to anyone, and he also threatened to share the recordings of her taking a bath.
Police also informed that the accused had wrongfully confined the victim and her sister by locking them inside the house, which compelled the sisters to leave the house. The victim has also accused Fernandes of sexually assaulting her sister, said police.
Further investigations, including a medical checkup, are underway.
