PONDA: Sahakar Parivartan Panel led by former chairman Hiru Khedekar was elected to the Board of Directors of VPK Urban Co-operative Credit Society Ltd having head office, at Mardol.

Sahakar Parivartan defeated the panel led by seating chairman Surya Gaude. Election to the Board of Directors was held on Sunday at all Talukas’ voting centres and counting was held at Sahakar Bhavan Hall, Curti, on Tuesday.
Cooperation Minister Govind Gaude congratulated the Sahakar Parivartan Panel and hope that it would lead the VPK Urban Co-operative Credit Society on the path of development.
It is learnt that out of one lakh shareholders around 9,916 voters took part in voting on Sunday. The VPK has around 40 branches in the State. The low voting percentage may be due to rising COVID cases, said sources.
The voting centres were arranged in all the 12 Talukas of the State.
The Board of Directors are Hiru Khedekar, Anand Kerkar, Durgadas Gaonkar, Dina Bandodkar, Chirag Gaude, Hemant Gaude, Rama alias Surya Gaude, Suryakant Gaude. Women category Savitri Velingkar, Adv Sushma Gaude and Scheduled Tribes category Rohidas Gaude.
