PANJIM: The government is in the process of meeting all freedom fighters associations and a coordination committee to sort out all problems faced by the freedom fighters, the chief minister’s office stated Wednesday.
It may be recalled that Freedom fighter Rohidas Dhadd Dessai had claimed that the government had sidelined him from the Freedom Fighters Award, despite asking all the ‘remaining’ freedom fighters to apply for the award. He had accused the Home Department of deliberately scuttling his application because he had applied for the felicitation two days before the last date.
However, the authorities said that they would be coordinating with the associations to solve all issues.
