PANJIM: The State government on Thursday appointed Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo as Chairman of Goa State Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), and Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar as head of the Goa Handicrafts, Rural and Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (GHRSSIDCL).
Through a notification issued by Under Secretary (industries) Georgina Saldanha, the government reconstituted the boards of both corporations.
The eight-member GIDC board will be headed by Ticlo, while its managing director would be the Chief Executive Officer. The Corporation was earlier chaired by former BJP MLA Ganesh Gaonkar.
The other directors of the GIDC board include Secretary (Industries), Secretary (Finance), Chief Electrical Engineer, Director Industries and President of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) and President of Goa Small Industries Association (GSIA).
The GHRSSIDCL board will have five members including chairman Patnekar. The corporation had earlier been headed by then MGP MLA Lavoo Mamledar. The Secretary (Industries), Secretary (Finance), Director Industries and Member Secretary of the Corporation are its directors.
