How can the Ram sene say that the drama is directed at them without watching the show? Goans are not wearing bangles, and we would like to know from the government what action will be taken against Ram Sene.
— Walter Dias
The BJP government has murdered democracy by trying to curtail the freedom of speech and expression. If these things are allowed to continue, there will be total disharmony in Goa in future. People in Goa had voted for Manohar Parrikar, but what is happening in Goa is RSS politics. There’s nothing wrong with the tiatr, it only seeks to show cause Goa’s age old communal harmony.
— Teofolio Almeida
No one can censor without watching a show. In a democracy, you cannot stop a show. The government should take care of Ram Sene which is an outside organisation. Organisations such as Ram Sene will not be able to stop the tiatr. It appears that government is hand in gloves with these organisations.
— Pascoal de Chicalim, Tiatr Director
I have come here to express my solidarity with the tiatr director and the tiatr lovers. No one has the right to issue threats and stop a tiatr in a democracy. I had fought for Goa’s freedom. No organisaiton have the right to curb freedom of speech and expression.
— Benedita Fernandes
If the tiatr cannot be held at Gomant Vidya Niketan, near the police station, it will not be held anywhere else. The director says the miscreants will burn markets and vehicles. It is not his responsibility to know what will happen outside. Law and order is the responsibility of the government.
