Brit passes away at Siolim

A 32-year-old British national passed away while asleep at Vaddy-Siolim on Monday.

CALANGUTE: A 32-year-old British national passed away while asleep at Vaddy-Siolim on Monday.

According to Police sources, John Steven David Tagg and his UAE friend, Mohammed Sadik, had arrived Goa on December 31 and were putting up at a rented place in Vaddy-Siolim.

Both tourists returned to the rented place at around 2 am on January 2, when John vomited and reportedly declined Sadik’s advice of visiting a doctor.

When Sadik woke up at about 4 pm, he noticed John lifeless and raised an alarm.

DySP Bossuet Silva and Anjuna PI Gurudas Kadam along with a police team went to the site. The exact cause of the death is not known and the rented room has been seal off for investigations.

It is learnt that the house owner had rented the room to a Nigerian, who in turn, rented it to the John and Sadik.
