PANJIM, JULY 29
The government is not serious on moving the off-shore casinos out of River Mandovi, Opposition leader Manohar Parrikar has charged.
“The Advocate General is not serious in vacating stay on casinos for last 15 months,” Parrikar said in the House on Thursday.
He also said that the court had not given permission for the casinos to operate without proper NOCs.
“Court has not granted order to operate without NOCs,” he said adding “…I know three vessels do not have NOCs from the CoP and two do not have licences from the DG Shipping.”
Parrikar stated that the government is least bothered on the issue.
“No one is monitoring the operations in the casinos whether they are legally operated or not,” he said.
