CANACONA: A 22-year-old youth was killed in an accident near the football ground at Agonda. According to police, the incident took place at around 10.15 pm, near football ground, Karashirmol, Agonda, when 24-year-old Sumant Mhalsekar of Loliem, rode his motorcycle GA-10-B-4206 in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Sadique Kameshwar of Karashirmol, Agonda, riding a motorcycle GA-10-B-4932. The impact was such that Kameshwar sustained serious injuries. Kameshwar later succumbed to his injuries. Canacona police have registered offences under Sections 279 and 304-A of IPC. Further investigation is in progress.
