The cost of the destroyed transformer is estimated at Rs 1 lakh. The people from Bhatwadi in Mayem had to go without electricity till a new transformer was installed on Tuesday.

BICHOLIM: The storm that lashed Bicholim on Monday night destroyed a transformer at Bhatwadi in Mayem even as a hotel in close proximity escaped the nature’s fury.
