Keeping aside their differences over organisation of water sports, it was decided to suggest to the government to allow them to organise water sports activities by posting two IRB police personnel for smooth conduct. They have also decided to make a representation to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for an amicable solution.
Speaking to Herald, Lobo said the water sports organisers want to organise the water sports activities themselves and do not want the activity to be conducted by outsiders.
“They want to make a representation to the chief minister over the issue and suggest to post two IRB police personnel next to the booth to oversee smooth functioning of the activities,” said Lobo.
“The water sports organisers are happy with the single window system adopted by the government and despite hardships and shortcomings, they want to continue with it with the cooperation of the State government.
He said there would be difficulties in the beginning; however, with time the system should work and be beneficial not only to the operators but also to the tourists who visit the State.
The North Goa Water Sports Organisers will make a representation to the chief minister over the issue shortly,” said Lobo.
