PONDA: Locals from Ponda, Bandora, Kavlem and Wadi Talavlim have urged Ponda and Marcaim MLAs and also PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar to inspect the delayed sewerage work at the Daag-Ponda stretch since it is causing hardship to commuters.
The Daag-Ponda road comes under Ponda Muncipality Jurisdiction. However, the stretch comes under three panchayats of Marcaim Constituency.

The road condition has turned worse on account of ongoing sewerage work in the rainy season. Because of the continuous rain, the contractor cannot carry on the normal daily work with the stretch filled with muddy water resulting in the vehicles needing a wash after crossing the part.
