The onus will be on their foreign strikers Anthony Wolfe, Jerry Boima Karpeh and midfielder Kalu to turn the tide against Mumbai Football Club
“We have a fully fit squad and are in great shape after winning the GFA Knock out tournament. Mumbai FC is a very strong team but we are ready and will fight out,” said Alex Alvares, coach of Sporting Clube de Goa.
“We have prepared thoroughly and the squad has worked very well over the couple of days. There are couple of other players who have injuries and will be assessed on Tuesday ahead of the game,” added Alvares.
Mumbai FC will be going all out for victory in order to keep their hopes alive in the tournament. They will be banking on Brazilian striker Josimar da Silva. Japanese Taisuke Matsuage and Manipuri medio Reisangmei Vashum will also play key roles.
Mumbai FC manager Henry Picardo sounded confident ahead of the clash. “We made some mistakes in the first game and we don’t want to repeat it. We are focussed on the game tomorrow and are practising hard. Sporting Clube de Goa are strong opponents and playing in front of home crowd but we will be at our best,” said Picardo.
